Mom's Visit

I was having a pretty bad week, studying for exams and working on half a dozen projects. On Sunday night, my Mom suddenly dropped by! Smiling, she gave me a great big hug and handed me a cup of steaming hot chocolate and a bag of three Tim Hortons peanut-butter cookies - my favourite. My heart warmed as we sat down and talked, catching up on how her week had been since I'd seen her for Reading Week.
Later, as she was leaving, she gave me another hug and reminded me to make sure I checked my Rrroll up the Rim to see if I had won. I hunkered back down to my project, feeling like I had already won just from seeing her, and pried up the rim of my cup to a wonderful shock: my very first Rrroll up the Rim cup was a winner!
My whole week turned around that night, and I can't wait to take my Mom out for a cup of Timmies' coffee with my winning rim.
